Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch has taken the time to highlight the forthcoming Skye & Lochalsh Environment Forum Event, which will take place in Portree on Friday 6 February.
The event will feature presentations by Terri Harrison, founder of “Nature Nurture”, based in Aberdeen, a discussion about ‘Nature-Deficit Disorder’, as well as some inspirational video extracts, from the internationally acclaimed film ‘Project Wild Thing’ and Richard Louv (author of 'The Nature Principle' & 'Last Child in the Woods'), and the overarching theme will concern whether or not young people are connecting with nature enough.
Commenting on this Mr Thomson said, “In an age where we can view so much on our television screens and on the internet, it is refreshing to be able to endorse an event that promotes awareness of the great outdoors in Skye and Lochalsh”.
Dave went on,
“I hope the Skye & Lochalsh Environment Forum Event in Portree is well attended and I wish those hosting event every success now and into the future”.
