Shinty final and grand-daughter's performance highlights of MSP's Gaelic festival

SATURDAY will be a day to remember for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch MSP Dave Thompson after he rounds off this year’s Blas Gaelic Festival as a guest at the Camanachd Cup Final and then watches as his grand-daughter takes to the stage for the festival’s finale.
This year’s Camanachd Cup Final between Newtonmore and Kingussie at the Bught in Inverness forms part of Blas and Mr Thompson has been invited to attend by the Camanachd Association.
Later on Saturday Mr Thompson’s 13-year-old grand-daughter Yasmin MacKintosh (Inverness Royal Academy) will sing as part of Cherishing Our Culture, the grand finale of the festival at Eden Court Theatre.
